Ko-kinko Michigane tsuba

This is a piece I finished using native Michigan float copper or Michigane as I have termed it. I mixed it with just a few percent fine silver to darken the color just a bit. I started this piece while I was out in New Hampshire teaching  and finished in my studio. The ingot was water cast using a charcoal fire and fuigo to melt the metal.
