Tamahagane Tosho Set

This set of fittings , tsuba, fuchi and kashira is very special to me. These were made from tamahagane steel gifted to me by my friend and renowned Japanese swordsmith Fusataro, or Taro Asano from Asanokajiya in Gifu Japan. Another reason they hold great meaning to me is that these now reside on one of Taro San's beautiful swords.  Forging cracks on all three pieces filled with low tin bronze. Fukurin on tsuba from Michi-gane, or native Michigan copper. Tenjo-gane and seki-gane are from copper.
